I’m obviously a really big fan of the Mobile Augmented Reality opportunities in healthcare but this excellent Google EyeWear Project video really is great for helping generate ideas on the mobile connected patient/Doctor opportunities. Here are a few thoughts I got from watching it:
Can you imagine an electronic medical record linked decision aid support for Doctors?
Can you imagine if the video call could add an experienced Doctor assistant at the scene of every accident for 911 callers and paramedics?
Add prescription lenses and can you imagine the patient support and medication adherence opportunities?
I hope someone’s planned for the retirement of these robots?
How would you like to see this mobile connected technology put to use to transform healthcare?
Couldn’t agree more – there are boundless opportunities for using Google Glass in healthcare. Would love to connect, share and explore ways to use the technology. We are submitting for a pair: http://www.incrowdnow.com/2013/02/google-glass-what-would-you-do-with-it/
more interesting for nurse, for army
during disasters,
in combat (For army triage). lot of patent and economic protectionism (standard virtuous)
I see its biggest potential in modifying the way we handle EMR data, the flow of data from and to the record, by providers and/or patients.
