Isn’t information sometimes the best prescription?


I see it everyday as a pharmacist – over prescribed medication, overuse of anti-biotics and a huge population hooked on pain medication. Mainly the result of Drs not wanting to lose business and feeling they have to prescribe something just so that their patients don’t feel like they are being billed for nothing in return

Umar Afridi, commenting on a TechCrunch article by Dave Chase, CEO of Avado.com, profiling MedLion a new “direct primary care” business model that provides access to “basic primary care for $10 per doctor visit and $49 per month”.
