Who’s won the United States Surgeon General’s Healthy Apps Challenge?

After a judging process that ran for nearly a month it’s already 3 days past the time when the official announcement was supposed to have been made:

For those who can’t wait what would have been your favorite mHealth innovation that has the “Ability to empower users to engage in health promoting behaviors”.

Mine would be this really simple but very clever sticker innovation I saw shipping last year on Microsoft LG devices from AT&T:

Even if you ignored the individual and societal benefits I cannot think why every telco hasn’t woken up to this opportunity especially as there is such commercial potential as they try to extend the appeal of their “texter focused” smartphones to “paying parents”…

    In addition, highlighting the high standard of entries received, two other apps were recommended for fitness/physical activity: Fit Friendzy and MapMyFitness and two apps for children (and adults who are young at heart): Max’s Plate and Short Sequence: Kids’ Yoga Journey.
