The Text4Baby program has been featured on major Russia TV news and I’m a bit confused about the focus. Of course I can see the enormous value of timely SMS advice (in Turkey 1 in 3 pregnant women is registered with Turkcell’s information service) but why would you want to send SMS based advice to a mum in Russia who has the latest $1000 Apple smartphone?
With 500 million smartphones shipping in the last 12 months (up 60% on the previous period) with this target market maybe they should be thinking about renaming the service MMSBaby or iMessageBaby?
