Mobile Monday Athens announces mHealth App Competition

Momentum continues to build for the mHealth focused Mobile Monday Athens event that’s taking place from 6-10pm on Wednesday 25 April 2012 at the Eugenides Foundation building in Syngrou Avenue.

First up the event has already confirmed some very interesting sponsors:

> The Idryma Eugenidou Foundation: will be hosting the event in their impressive Syggrou Avenue building – a venue that is steeped in the history of business innovation that was founded in the 50’s as “a palace for education in science and technology”.

> SAP Greece: established 40 years ago, SAP is the world’s largest business software company with $20 billion in annual sales, more than 50,000 employees and has a venture fund that is actively invested in more than 100 companies across 5 continents including success stories such as Linkedin and Aepona.

> The Starter’s Fund: the global crowdfunding platform and virtual business incubator/accelerator.

The event will also now be hosting a crowd-funded investment competition:

Opening later today submissions will be accepted until Sunday (15 April) when a shortlisting process will decide on the final 6, who’ll get the opportunity to present in front of the audience before the winner is selected using an innovative new voting process.

The full line up of speakers on the mHealth opportunity has been confirmed:

David Doherty, cofounder, 3G Doctor
Dimitris Hagigeorgiou, Mobility Team, SAP
Nikos Papachristou, Medical Laboratory Technologist, eHealthgr
Sophia Salenius, CEO, RegPoint

The event is free to attend but you need to register here and it’s likely to be fully booked (there are already more than 70 delegates registered) so don’t waste any time.
