A great step forward here by Facebook. 3 years ago I remember thinking about the opportunity for big brands behind the device and services that are always carried and always on to support this type of innovation.
In the mean time we’ve seen telcos waste millions talking about mHealth and rebranding themselves to focus on it. Yet still 3 years later the NHS Organ Donation campaign materials still don’t contain a screensaver image (they only have images available for websites and desktop screens) and the only out of the box service I’ve seen that works is on Doro Easyphones:
