Picked this story up from a camera phone picture linked to by Maarten den Braber (one of the organisers of the forthcoming mHealth focused Mobile Monday Amsterdam). It seems Mexican Doctors, with the support of Pharmaceutical giant Merck, are making themselves available to patients via SMS.
Whilst there are obviously several patient privacy issues that come into play here I think its without doubt a great example of the way entrepreneurial Doctors will increasingly want to use mobiles to communicate with their patients and would love to learn more about the service and the “MedMobile” offering.
