Monique Levy, Senior Director at Manhattan Research, has published a report into consumer online health video and it’s impact on health behaviour. Highlights include:
> 48% of US consumers who are online are watching online videos to get information on prescription drugs (up from 21% in 2007)
> Consumers are more likely to watch online health videos on the “general and news” healthcare websites that they are already using to get health information.
Disappointingly there is no mention of the connected care opportunity arising from health video distribution on mobile phones which we see as a very promising market for such personal unshared video content:
