BBC News Robots to help people with dementia in Western Isles

Had to check the URL on this BBC news story twice as I was convinced it was a spoof. It’s so ridiculous I shared the link with my favourite Scottish comedian @Billy_Connolly (enough material in how NHS Western Isles arrived at the decision to buy these for at least another sell out world tour and DVD).

Meanwhile this week at the Kings Fund’s International Congress on Telehealth and Telecare in London Roy Lilley was told by a GP that it’s because of “governance rules” that are preventing his 93 year old mum (who already has her own iPad) from being able to use it to Skype her Practice Nurse or Doctor…
