An interesting contact (through the Contact Us page of our website) from a Doctor involved in providing GP care for students at one of the UK’s largest Universities got me intrigued to do a little research to see how things have changed since my days at College:
Can’t say I’m all that surprised to see they’re still using the same space on the communal notice boards to encourage the students to register (an important first step as many are away from home for the first time).
It’s got me intrigued as there are a million ways to bring engagement to Student Health services through mobile, for starters just imagine how much more effective it would be to deliver the content of this poster in a personal SMS invitation to every new student?
Maybe it’s better at other Universities, but I’d be surprised particularly in light of the fact that UCL regularly gives lectures on it’s mHealth initiatives.
