What’s wrong with government efforts to foster innovation & drive digital engagement

Next week I’m giving a talk to a group of Doctors on what I learnt from attending last weeks NHS Innovation Expo. I’ll be posting the key take aways over the next fortnight (like I’ve done with this review of GE’s V Scan device) but I needed a picture that captured the essence of the problems I sensed. Thankfully there was the DotGovLabs Innovation Hub Wall:

So what’s wrong with it and how does this capture the root problem?

> It’s not digital. Only by doing have you any chance of knowing.

> Where are the terms? Who’s idea will this be?

> What’s the incentive? £5k, £2k or £1k?
