Nokia announces plans for how it will invest in early stage mHealth ventures

Whilst it’s clear Nokia still wants to try to avoid Health in favour of services that can arbitrarily be considered to be preventative or wellness services, in a positive move Nokia has seed funded Vision+, a new independently run investment fund led by Tero Ojanperä, former EVP Services Nokia, focused on financing innovative projects with a clear target for market entry and commercialization in the areas of Converged Gaming, Entertainment & Education and Preventive Health Care and Wellness.

It’s very often that I hear the management teams of VC backed mHealth companies complaining about the lack of additional value they’re getting from their VCs (asides from the money) so it’s great to see that this fund has prioritized match-making application development projects directly with existing customers.

Send an email to to contact the Vision+ team with your ideas and products or if you would like information on opportunities to invest in the fund.
