“Opportunities in Mobile Health”

Jaspal S. Sandhu a Community Health & Human Development Lecturer at the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley, has authored “Opportunities in Mobile Health” a California HealthCare Foundation supported supplement for the Stanford Social Innovation Review:

The United States and other industrialized countries can learn from experiments in the developing world that use the humble cell phone as a platform for innovation

I found it an interesting perspective on the mHealth opportunity but really who else in 2011 is referring to Mobile as the “humble cell phone”?

What’s humble about the newest mass media?

What’s humble about the newest trillion dollar mega industry?

What’s humble about the only technology that is more plentiful in emerging markets than in developed ones?

What’s humble about the only technology that connects 5 billion people?
