‘Face Unlock’ is the name being given by Samsung and Google to the new facial recognition app that will prevent unauthorised users from access your phone functionality and will come natively installed on the next generation Galaxy Nexus phone.
Okay so this is something I’ve been holding out hope on for a while but I’m convinced this is going to prove a big hit in the Healthcare market that will add important extra demand for hardware featuring dual forward facing cameras (to increase accuracy via field perspectives). Next move will probably be Apple adding SIRI + facial recognition and making it all a seamless experience for the (registered) user with a demo mode/911 only call service for everyone else.
