Saw this great comment by Dr Cory Annis on an interesting Forbes article “Healthcare’s Medical Instrument of the Future: Communication” authored by Dave Chase, CEO and coFounder, Avado:

The biggest “disruption” in healthcare is honest, direct, accessible communication. My patients aren’t hungering for more information. They want someone to look them directly in the eye, and help them makes sense out of the glut of information they are already exposed to. They want to know what all the evidence means to them personally. They want a face, a voice, but one that is invested in their success and understanding

    I think it resonates so well with me is because most of the time when I look at the big business approach to Healthcare it seems to be focused on the opportunity for dishonest, indirect and inaccessible services.
