At the Natural History Museum in Vienna on Monday 11 March 2013 (doors open at 18:30 for a 19:00 start) Mobile Monday Austria will be the 14th Mobile Monday chapter to host a mHealth themed meeting.
“That we always carry our smartphones wherever we are is without a doubt, but would we do the same if it was our mobile health center? A memory full with our results, blood tests, prescriptions, x-rays and upcoming medical appointments? What one person represents a privacy nightmare another is a must have lifesaving companion. MobileMonday will be looking more at this controversial topic with the first event of 2013 dedicated to mHealth. Together with Doctors, companies and startups that have taken a foot in mHealth, we want to take a look at the area and discuss the possibilities and the dangers that brings the phone with him. You can expect a high-caliber panel. The MobileMonday team looks forward to welcoming you!”
Presenters will include:
Gerald Czech (Rotes Kreuz)
Fredrik DeBong (MySugr)
Dr. Gottfried Endel (Hauptverband der Österreichischen Sozialversicherungsträger)
Dr. Wolfgang Reitberger (TU Wien – Human Computer Interaction Group)
Dr. Med. Lukas Zinnagel (Diagnosia)

The speaker slidedecks haven’t been shared yet but you can read a review of the event here (in German) from which I learnt the Alivecor ECG device was either demoed (or at least discussed).
There are also some pictures on the MoMo Austria website showing the attendence levels were good (as many as 200 delegates attended):
