Will Samsung’s move to open boutiques within Best Buy stores help them make a success of their S Health mHealth accessories?

TechCrunch: Samsung to open retail boutiques in 1400 Best Buy stores

Since Best Buy announced ambitious plans to sell mHealth devices in 500 of their stores back in 2010 there’s been little good news for the massive consumer-electronics retailer as it’s suffered 3 straight years of declining sales.

Arriving just in time (Q2) for the S Health accessories (Weigh Scale, S Band, Heart Rate Monitoring chest strap) coming to market with the new Galaxy S4 (click here to read my thoughts about the mHealth impact of this new offering) I can imagine these new Samsung-operated ‘Samsung Experience Shops” will provide some healthy competition to Apple’s steadily expanding range of mHealth accessories.
