Emoji’s are the fun ideograms and smileys used in electronic messages that have been popular in Japan for nearly 20 years so it’s great to see this useful mHealth campaign by Reckitt Beckinser’s marketing team (makers of Durex Condoms).
Let’s hope the Unicode Consortium implements the changes to help get the safe sex message across to young mobile audiences and make 2016 the year Emoji’s take safe sex seriously.
Why not try and think like the Born Mobile generation and share in the comments any other emoji’s that you think could potentially be good for public health and I’ll update this post with a suggested graphic.
